Constitution Day Citizenship Test

All Smoky Hill students must earn 3 units of Social Studies in order to graduate.  Students are encouraged to balance their Social Studies courses between history and social science class.
One of the 3 units of Social Studies must be in US history.  Students may receive the credit by taking either US History of AP US History for 11/12th Grade, with instructor approval.
One-half credit of Social Studies must be in government and student may receive this credit by taking American Government (10th or 12th grade), AP American Government (full year 10th or 12th grade), MYP World Geography/Government, or American Government Online.
Ninth grade students must take a full year of Social Studies.  A student may take Global Studies or Honors Global Studies (only recommended for students that intend to take AP courses the following three years).
Tenth grade students must take Government and Economics unless they have been approved for AP courses.
