Dear Smoky Hill Families,

I sincerely hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving holiday and the special time you were able to share with family and friends.

For the 3rd consecutive year Smoky Hill High School hosted the Thanksgiving Basket Project.  Students and staff donated time and resources to provide food to families in our community.  Over 160 families benefited from the generous support of the Smoky Hill community.  Special thanks go to Mrs. Sarah Watts and Mrs. Chau DiMatteo for organizing this very special event.

Our first semester exam schedule follows.  Please encourage your student to focus and prepare for finals.  We appreciate your partnership in your child's education.

Let me take this opportunity to wish you the very best for the holiday season.  Enjoy the break and we look forward to seeing all of you when school resumes on Tuesday, January 5.

Dear Smoky Hill Family:

Welcome to the start of 2016 and a new semester at Smoky Hill.  For the first time, 1st semester ended before break and we have had a smooth transition into 2nd semester.  It was a great 1st semester and 2nd semester will fly by.

There have been many changes in the world of testing in the state of Colorado as well as Smoky Hill.  We will be sending out and posting our testing schedule soon.  It was great news that all of our juniors will have the opportunity to take the ACT and then transition to SAT for the 2016-2017 school year.  The following link will take you to the Colorado Department of Education's letter explaining the changes and how we will be moving forward.

We are also in the middle of the winter sports and activities season.  There are many opportunities to support our students.  It is amazing how much they appreciate seeing you at their events, so please come out and support them.

Best wishes for a great 2016!

GO Buffs!
