​Counselors returned to the freshman FAST classes to complete the academic plan on Naviance.  Every freshman should now have an active Naviance account. The academic plan helps students see how to complete Smoky Hill’s graduation requirements and college readiness.  Students will continue to use Naviance throughout high school for inventories and surveys, career planning and pathways, and for college search and application processes. 

 Sophomores, counselors will be in your classroom soon to work on career interest inventories and career pathways.  Remember to check your Naviance accounts regularly for important information.

 Juniors, your ACT testing is just around the corner.  Don’t forget to take advantage of the FREE test prep program on Naviance.  Method test prep on Naviance provides lessons, strategies, and practice tests.  Students who complete the test prep program have shown improvement and confidence on their testing.  The test prep is also available for SAT testing.  Try it today.

 Seniors, keep working on those college applications and watch your deadlines.  Don’t forget to complete a green sheet for transcript requests in the Post Graduate Center in order for transcripts to be sent to the colleges and universities.  Also, remember you MUST request your test score reports be sent directly to the colleges from the test sites ( for ACT ad for SAT).  Don’t delay; take care of requests today.


Remember College Readiness Day?  The 9th graders took the Explore Test, the 10th graders took the Plan Test and the 11th graders took the Practice ACT.  Your results are in! Freshmen, your Explore test can be picked up in your FAST class, sophomores, the Plan test will be distributed in your Science class and, Juniors, the Practice  ACT will be distributed out of the Counseling office.
