Yo Craze Spirit Night - Thursday, April 5, 2012

April 5th from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Rubio's Outstanding Commited Student/Staff Award (ROCS)
SHHS PTCO and Rubio's has partnerd to create the monthly "Rubio Outstanding Commited Student/Staff" (ROCS)  Award.  They will receive a free meal from Rubio's.

April Staff Member of the Month:
Scott Cohen for his outstanding leadership and dedication to Smoky Hill by always looking at new ways to promote Smoky Hill school spirit!
April Student of the Month:
Jenna Kamlet for her work on the numerous fundraisers for Winter Wish Week raising over $13,000 for Make a Wish Foundation granting Elijah’s wish.

PTCO Volunteer Opportunities
PTCO has a variety of Volunteer Opportunities available for the 2012-2013 year. Any time commitment you can give is greatly appreciated. Executive Board positions that are available: co-treasurer (looking for a parent who is an accountant that can assist with taxes), secretary, corresponding secretary, craft fair coordinator as well as chair positions for Teacher of the Year, restaurant coordinator, and parent representatives. After Prom Celebration
The Smoky Hill After-Prom will be held April 28th midnight – 4:00am. Over 100 parent volunteers are needed for this event. If you are able to volunteer please contact Lori Burns  Donations are needed for this event as well, gift cards ($5.00 Starbucks, Chipotle, Qdoba, Chick-Fil-A, etc.), monetary, and miscellanious food items. If you are interested in providing a donation please contact Lori Burns .

If you have not picked up your SHHS Directory, please pick up your copy in the main office (this is DIFFERENT from the student planner; if you are unsure, please feel free to contact us (you may also verify on your receipt from August Check-In).

Fundraising opportunities include:

Office Depot: Mention Smoky Hill High School at the time of purchase, and Office Depot will donate a percentage of the sales to our school.

Target Cards: Target will donate a % of each purchase to our school through the Take Charge of Education Program. Visit or call 800.316.6142 to designate Smoky Hill to receive funds. Use Smoky Hill's ID Number, 1037196.

Ink Cartridges: If you are interested in recycling old ink cartridges, you may drop them off in the "Drop Box" in the main office. SHHS PTCO will receive a donation for each one.

If you would like to make a donation, you may drop one off in the main office or mail to SHHS PTCO, 16100 E Smoky Hill Road, Aurora CO 80015. Corporate donations are also accepted. All donations are tax deductable. If you would like a receipt, please contact Lisa Klatsky, PTCO Treasurer at or 303.877.8852.
