MYP Personal Projects

This year will be the first time that Smoky Hill High School sophomores will complete the MYP Personal Project. This year’s sophomore class is the first class to have completed the entire MYP programme—beginning in 6th grade at Laredo Middle School.

The MYP Personal Project allows students to design an area of study and complete a project modeled within the framework of MYP pedagogy.  Students first identify an area of interest and craft a research question within it.  They then design a project that will help them to answer their research question.  Throughout the process, students are guided by a teacher supervisor and a community mentor. The community mentor is someone with expertise in the area of study that the student has chosen.  If you are interested in mentoring a student, please CLICK THIS LINK to send us your information.  The time commitment is minimal, and the rewards are great!

Super Saturday:
Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 14, 2012.  MYP students will be presenting their projects at Smoky Hill High School.  Come and learn something new as MYP sophomores present their projects to the community!  This day promises to be an exciting day of learning!

If you have questions or would like more information about the MYP Personal Project, please contact Jen Radosevich, MYP Personal Project Coordinator, at 303-886-5591  or jradosevich@cherrycreekschools.org.
