Check out the net price calculators on college websites.  The calculators are mandated by federal law to be on every college website.  This gives families an opportunity to see what the out of pocket cost will be to attend that college.

Now is the time to start your scholarship research.  Check out the list of scholarship opportunities on Naviance.  Also, explore the national scholarship databases: www.fastweb.com and www.scholarships.com are two that we recommend.  Don’t forget to check with your individual colleges for their list of institutional scholarships.

 The Admission Game
January 29th at 6:30 p.m.
in the Shilling Law Lecture Center in the West Building

Do you ever wonder who "gets into college" and "why?" "The Admission Game®", an interactive presentation by national renowned speaker, Peter Van Buskirk, takes you inside the admission process for the answers.  The Admissions Game is a high energy, high impact, interactive, case study exercise for students and parents in which the audience is transformed into an admission committee. This signature program reveals the "hidden agendas" of colleges and provides insight into how decisions are made. Students learn to find the colleges that fit them best and to make decisions that help them compete for admission.  Peter will be presenting The Admissions Game at Cherry Creek High School on Wednesday, January 29th at 6:30 PM in the Shilling Law Lecture Center in the West Building.  This program is exclusively for Cherry Creek and Smoky Hill Families.  9th through 11th grade parents and students are highly encouraged to attend.
