IB/MYP Updates

CAS:
All MYP freshmen and sophomores must complete 10 hours of community and service hours by March 3, 2014. Students will log into COLE 3.0 and access the course titled, “SHH MYP Program Students,” to complete the process. Community and service are meant to broaden students’ perspectives as they experience what it means to help those in need.
If students have questions about the CAS process, they can stop by the IB office.

Personal Project (for MYP Sophomores only):
Students should be well on their way to completing their MYP Personal Project.  All sophomores should be checking the MYP Personal Project COLE site weekly to make sure they are completing all the required elements.
  • Super Saturday - March 22, 2014 (8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.):
Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 22, 2014.  MYP students will be presenting their projects at Smoky Hill High School.  Students will be assigned a time slot in March. They should arrive 15-20 minutes before their assigned presentation time. Their total time at school should not be more than one hour.  If there are conflicts with the student’s schedule, the student will present his project in an after-school time slot on Tuesday or Wednesday, March 25th-26th.  This day promises to be an exciting day of learning!

If you have questions or would like more information about the MYP Personal Project, please contact Cheryl Paricio, MYP Personal Project Coordinator, at 303-886-5693  or
