Freshmen:  Counselors returned the freshmen FAST classes to complete the academic plan on Naviance.  Every student should now have an active Naviance account.  The Academic Plan is a multi-year plan which helps students know how to complete Smoky Hill's graduation requirements and college readiness.  Students will continue to use Naviance throughout high school for inventories and surveys, career planning and pathways, and for college information and application processes.  Student will complete their ICAP (Individual Career and Academic Plans) for high school and post-secondary success on Naviance.

Sophomores:  Remember to check your Naviance accounts regularly for important information and to continue to work on ICAP completion. 

Juniors:  ACT testing is just around the corner.  Don't forget to take advantage of the FREE test prep program on Naviance.  Method Test Prep on Naviance provides lessons, strategies, and practice tests.  Students who complete the test prep program have shown improvement and confidence on their testing.  The test prep is also available for SAT testing.  Try it today.  Watch for other test prep opportunities coming in February and March.

Seniors:  Seniors should continue working on their college applications and pay particular attention to upcoming deadlines.  In order for transcripts and letters of recommendation to be sent to college and universities, senior must complete requests (green sheet) in the Post Graduate Center.  Be sure to check with Post Graduate Center and the Counseling office for deadlines for these requests.  They are not the same as application deadlines and there is processing time.  Don't forget about vacation times as well.  Check deadlines today.  Also, remember you MUST request your test score reports be sent directly to the colleges from the test sites ( for ACT and and SAT).  Don't delay; take care of requests today.
