Angel Project a Success!!!!
Our IB community of parents, students, faculty members and local businesses stepped up to the challenge raising over $5000 for IB testing fees! This amount was matched by an anonymous "Angel" donor resulting in $10,000 for IB scholarships. Thank you to all who contributed to this fundraising project.
Registration for Sixth Subjects
Sophomore MYP students who are continuing with the Diploma program will need to choose a sixth subject. Sixth subject presentations took place in the Lecture Center during lunches on January 22nd. If your son or daughter missed the presentation, they should see Mrs. Wetmore or their IB counselor to learn more about their subject choices which include: IB Business, IB Music, IB Psychology, IB Theater and IB Visual or Digital Arts. Students can also choose an additional Science or Spanish ab initio if they'd like to study an additional World Language.
We are accepting MYP registrations for any current freshmen that were wait-listed this school year; but time is running out! Don't run the risk of being wait-listed again! Questions? See Mrs. Wills-Keely, MYP Coordinator.
All MYP freshmen and sophomores must complete 10 hours of community
and service hours by February 27th, 2015. Students will log
into Schoology and access the course titled, "SHH MYP Program Students,"
to complete the process. Community and service are meant to broaden students'
perspectives as they experience what it means to help those in need.
If students have questions about the CAS process, they can
stop by the IB office.
Personal Project (for MYP Sophomores only):
Students should be well on their way to completing their MYP Personal Project. All sophomores should be checking the MYP Personal Project COLE site weekly to make sure they are completing all the required elements.
