IB MYP to DP Transition

Please take time to review this information thoroughly, as it includes information about the transition to the IB Diploma Program (DP) for next year.

STEP 1: The presentation

• Watch the video of the presentation (24 minutes).

STEP 2: The IB DP Planning Document

• Using the information from the presentation and your current schedule, create your IDEAL IBDP schedule for the next two years.
  • Complete this planning document
    • OR come to II-320 to pick up a printed version
    • It will create a copy for you to print or complete digitally
• Be thinking of how you would rank your choices for Individuals & Societies, Sciences, and Sixth Subject
  • You will provide a ranked list during Step 4.

STEP 3: Consultation & Verification

• Speak with your teachers, counselor, parents, or IB coordinator about your planning document.
  • Dr Mugge Cozza will be available in the College and Career/Post Grad Center on January 12 (before school and during both lunches) and January 14 (during lunches).
  • Mr Ritchie is available per your request using this link. 

STEP 4: Finalize & Submit by January 23, 2026

• Submit your finalized decisions about your IBDP course selections on this FORM
  • This must be completed by the student using their @cherrycreekschools.org email account
  • Due by January 23, 2026

STEP 5: IB Office Next Steps

• Your counselor will receive a copy of your final decisions, which will be used for course verification and scheduling.
