IB Summer Coursework
Please see below for your summer coursework for the 2026-2027 school year.
This coursework is only for next year's Grade 10, 11 or 12.
All links require you to be logged in to your Cherry Creek account to access them.
Freshmen Boot Camp (incoming Grade 9)
- August 14 from 1-3pm
- More information will be provided at the beginning of August
English (incoming Grade 10, 11, & 12)
- IB MYP English 10
- Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
- IB DP English 11
- The Awakening by Kate Chopin
- IB DP English 12
- Seamus Heaney Poetry Packet

Sciences (incoming Grade 11 or 12)
- IB Biology
- Complete all Unit 1 notes
- IB Chemistry
- Complete the assignment
Mathematics (incoming Grade 10 or 11)
IB Visual Arts (incoming Grade 12)
Students will need to complete one studio piece over the summer. There are two check-in dates where students have to e-mail evidence just once during the weeklong check-in window:
- June 29 - July 3
- Sketchbook work demonstrating brainstorming, artist research, thumbnail sketches, reference images. Same structure as previous studio pieces.
- July 26 - July 31
- In progress pictures, active reflection, and picture of almost finished piece.
Extended Essay (incoming Grade 11 & 12)
Incoming Seniors
Over the summer, continue to write and revise the EE rough draft based on individual needs, and feedback from the supervisor. Students return in August with a final paper completed, and then attend the formatting, citation, and reflection workshops to make final edits and polish for submission by September 1.
Incoming Juniors
No official EE coursework over the summer. In August, students (juniors) begin the EE journey.
CAS (incoming Grade 12)
Continue to participate in and log your CAS experiences in ManageBac.
