The Smoky Hill Yearbook is a 300+ page, full-color, national award-winning publication.

DID YOU KNOW: it costs us $95 to produce each yearbook, but we sell it at a discount throughout the school year? Please note: we have to tell our printing company a number of yearbooks to produce by January 15. We CANNOT order extra yearbooks after that time. 

At registration: $75 ($20 discount)

Your baby is graduating! Time to celebrate all they’ve done with a beautiful, full-color senior tribute/baby ad in the 2027 Smoky Hill High School Yearbook!

If we learned anything from the last few years, it's that things can change in an instant and that very few things are for sure. Technology will come and go, but we absolutely know that there will always be a yearbook! So, make sure your senior doesn't miss out on this important Smoky Hill tradition!

Looking for a personalized, memorable way to recognize your graduating senior? Want to capture memories with the friends you’ve made for a lifetime? Looking for a fun way to recognize your teammates or club members? Parents, siblings, relatives, teachers, coaches, and friends of the graduating Class of 2027 have an opportunity to purchase ad space in the 2027 edition of the yearbook. There are FOUR (4) ad sizes available at various price points. All ad space is sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. So place your order early to reserve ad space for your graduating senior.

Congratulations, seniors! You’ve just about made it the whole way through your high school career. Caps and gowns, most spirited class, a top-notch prom - the school year will be YOUR year to have it all. Of course, you know that it’s also your year to have a fabulous photo of yourself in the award-winning Smoky Hill High School Summit Yearbook.

Please consider your options and make sure your senior picture is submitted on time so you will be forever remembered as an important member of the SHHS Class of 2026.

OPTION #1: Turn in your professional portrait

Feel free to use any professional portrait studio your family prefers. However, it will be your responsibility to ensure your photographer knows our portrait specifications and that you pay your $10 handling fee and upload your photo correctly by Friday, October 9. (Give the specs below to your portrait photographer.)

Images should be at least 2x3 inches overall with a resolution of at least 300 dpi.

OPTION #2: Monty Nuss Photography portraits at school
On Wednesday, October 21, from 8 am to 10:30 am (during Advisory), professional portrait studio Monty Nuss will be at Smoky Hill High School to take FREE SENIOR PORTRAITS for any students who have not already turned in their portraits. So plan to come to school picture-ready to get a beautiful, professional portrait for the yearbook.

OPTION #3: Use your school photo (taken by Dorian Studio)
If you choose not to turn in a senior portrait, the photo taken by our school picture photographer, Dorian Studio, during SHHS Check-In will be used in the yearbook.

Photo Requirements:

• Clothing and jewelry must fit school dress code guidelines. (Avoid shirts with graphics.)

• Please provide a waist-up pose; no head-and-shoulder or full body poses.

• Senior should be centered in the photo facing the camera, full face view, facing forward from the waist up. Vertical photo; both eyes must be visible AND looking straight at the camera.

• Simple, uncluttered background (either indoors or outdoors).

• Full-color photos only; no black and white or sepia. No soft focus or vignettes.

• No props (no animals, sunglasses, cars, musical instruments, sports equipment, foreign objects or additional people in photo, etc.).

NOTE: If you turn in a full body photo or your photo is more of the background than you, we have to zoom in to your upperbody/face, which results in your photo quality going down.

SENIOR PORTRAIT FEE: $10

All seniors turning in a portrait are required to pay a $10 placement fee. These portraits take more time to flow into the senior section than the traditional school photo. This fee applies to professional portraits turned in on www.yearbookshare.com and the free Monty Nuss portraits taken at school. SEE THESE GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING PHOTOS

The Photographer or yourself need to submit the photo at this website:

1. Before you upload, make sure your senior photo is a JPEG and named “last name, first name”.

      Ex. Smith, John

2. Log into: www.yearbookshare.com

      (Do not use Internet Explorer.)

3. The School Code you enter is: shhsseniors

4. Here, fill out the following in the boxes: your first name, your last name, your email address, confirm email address, and your phone number. Also click the box that you agree to terms.

5. Step 1 is our photo guidelines. If the photo you will enter meets that click, Next.

6. Then select CLICK HERE TO UPLOAD A STUDENT PORTRAIT.

*please only include one image for a senior portrait.

7. Select your image and you may have to use the crop tool, then select next. (Make sure that you name your file correctly with senior’s last name, first name before uploading the file.)

8. Your senior’s photo will appear.

*Type in the Grade of Student, First Name, Last Name

8. Verify that this is the photo and then Click the Upload Images button.

9. You have uploaded the photo, and you are finished. You got a success message. You will not get a confirmation email. If you got a success message, then it was uploaded correctly.
