All schools and districts are required by state law to convene an Accountability Committee. We’re proud that Smoky Hill’s School Accountability Committee is one of the more active SAC’s in the Cherry Creek School District. Smoky Hill’s SAC is made up mostly of parent volunteers, and is chaired by Smoky’s Principal, Dr. Bala. The committee is open to parents, community members, staff, and students.
The committee aims to enhance the Smoky Hill experience for students, staff, and families in three priority areas: safety/health, academics, and communications. SAC meets monthly during the school year, with projects chosen by members based on these priorities and available volunteers.
The Smoky Hill SAC is a great way to learn about the school, the administration and staff, and impact the work being done to improve the experience at Smoky Hill for everyone.
